Bee Abled offers an outlet for all abilities & all ages to continue playing sports both competitively and recreationally through diverse programs. All donations received go towards helping our members participate in sports, workouts, and social activities that help them improve their mental and physical health.
SATURDAY MORNING WORKOUTS:
Every Spring and Fall, Bee Abled athletes and volunteers come together for energizing Saturday morning sessions at Memorial Park North Picnic Lane Area (weather permitting). From 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, participants can run, walk, or wheel at their own pace in a supportive, inclusive environment.
🧘 Yoga & Stretching Warm‑Up: Each session begins with a guided yoga and stretching routine led by Mayra Villareal, helping athletes prepare their bodies and minds for the activity ahead.
🤝 Guided Support: Each athlete is paired with an able-bodied volunteer—serving as a walking, running, or bike guide—to provide encouragement and motivation.
🚴 Handcycles Welcome: Bring your own handcycle or request a loaner from Bee Abled to join the fun.
📍 Easy Directions: For navigation, simply enter “Bee Abled AWD Meet Up” on Google Maps or Waze to find the Memorial Park Picnic Area.

✨ These meetups are about more than fitness—they’re about community, connection, and celebrating every stride together.
BEE ABLED IN THE RACE COMMUNITY:
Bee Abled athletes proudly take part in 5K, 10K, half, and full marathon events—whether by walking, running, or wheeling. These races are more than finish lines; they’re opportunities to showcase resilience, celebrate inclusion, and build community.
Why It Matters:
🏅 Representation – Athletes of all abilities prove that every stride counts.
🤝 Community – Races bring together families, friends, and supporters to cheer each other on.
🌟 Inspiration – Each event shows what’s possible when determination meets opportunity.
✨ Whether crossing the finish line, volunteering, or celebrating afterward, Bee Abled athletes demonstrate that inclusion belongs at every race.
YEAR-ROUND FUN & SUMMER PROGRAMMING:

Year-Round Activities: From baseball games, Zumba, adaptive dances, adaptive yoga, golfing, pickleball, and ice skating our members enjoy a wide variety of experiences that bring joy and connection beyond the court or field.
Summer Programming: Houston’s summer heat doesn’t slow us down. We design safe, engaging activities that keep everyone moving and interacting without risking their health. Past adventures have included bowling, museum visits, boat tours, origami, painting with a twist, batting cages and much more!
✨ Whether it’s trying something new or sharing a favorite pastime, Bee Abled makes sure fun and friendship are always part of the journey.
